Philosophy

Vision

Philosophy is one of oldest subjects in the world, with its roots tracing back to 7th century BCE. The word itself is derived from the two terms ‘Philos’ meaning love and ‘Sophia’ meaning wisdom, essentially referring to the pursuit or love of wisdom and continues to be a subject highly regarded by higher education institutions. Philosophy at Haydon will provide students with the opportunity to delve into the exploration of wider abstract questions, develop independent thinking skills, the ability to critique logically and to embark upon the journey to self-understanding.
