Admissions

(YEARS 7 - 11)

Haydon school is an academy based in Hillingdon for children aged 11 to 18 and is its own admissions authority. As such applications for a place at our school for entry to Year 7 should be made via the local authority in which you live.

Hillingdon is part of the Pan-London Co-ordinated Admissions System.  Parents can name up to six different schools that they want to apply for including any out of borough schools on Hillingdon’s common application form. Preferences will need to be ranked in order of priority (this is important as only one offer will be made and this will be from the highest ranked school able to make an offer).

All the councils taking part in the Pan-London Co-ordinated Admissions System will then use a computerised system to pass on details of applications for schools in other areas and to co-ordinate the offer of places to make sure that nobody gets offered more than one school place. Each admission authority will work out how well you qualify for each school using the admission rules.

Below you can find a link to our local authority’s admissions page where you can find more information on the application process. Please note that if you do not live in the Hillingdon borough you will need to refer to admissions guidance from your own local authority.

Applications for a place at Haydon other than the primary to secondary transfers (i.e. In-year applications to Years 7 - 11) can be made in two ways. Firstly you can make an in-year admission application directly through our school website. To do this please click the link below and then follow the instructions detailed on the webpage.

Alternatively, you can make an application through your local authority and they will forward us your admission application. Please note that if this is the method you have chosen, we may in addition on receipt of your information ask you to complete our online application form. This is to ensure that we receive all required information, to process your application as swiftly as possible.

Below is a web link for making an In-year Admission Application via our Local Authority should this be your preferred method:

All applications for places at Haydon School will be considered in line with our Admissions policy and places will be allocated on the basis of these arrangements.

Generally admissions placements are allocated in the order of:

  • SEN
  • LAC
  • Sibling
  • Armed Forces / Crown Servant
  • Distance

Please refer to our Admissions policies for more information on how applications are handled and how places are allocated to students at Haydon School.
