    Primary Mathematics Challenge

    Haydon School again welcomed Primary Schools from across the Borough for the second annual Hillingdon Primary Maths Challenge. Last year’s inaugural event, devised and staged at Haydon, proved a popular affair and this year the enthusiasm was just as great with 13 schools fielding a capacity 14 teams.

    Maths 24 Game

    More success for Haydon‘s young mathematicians. Following on from the Year 8 success in the Hillingdon Maths Challenge the Year 7s have joined in with a second consecutive win in the 24 Game competition held at Ruislip High School. Seeing off fierce competition from 12 schools the winning team of Abdullah Chandry and Louis Smith were a credit to Haydon School for their commitment and outstanding performance.

    TfL Grant Money

    Haydon School applied for a £3k grant and was successful, The School purchased 12 bikes for 12 students, helmets, lights and padlocks. All the Students have attended a bike maintenance course provided by London cycling Campaign so can fix punctures, brakes and chains. They were introduced to TfL Strategic Surface Director Leon Daniels with the bikes on 15th January 2014, Uxbridge Gazette were in attendance. The bicycles were purchased from Northwood Cycles a lovely local bike shop  - please go there for all your cycling needs.

    The Northwest London UKMT regional finals were held recently, with 23 schools participating. We can proudly announce that Haydon School finished third, only beaten by two leading independent schools.
