2017 REsults

In 2017 the Year 13 A-Level and BTEC National results were excellent: 53% of grades were at A* to B and 76% at A* to C.  This was a significant improvement on the 2016 results. The total number of students going on to University in September 2017 currently stands at 181 including 58 to Russell Group Universities, the most challenging to get into.  We have had almost identical figures in each of the last four years.  In Year 12 the results were also outstanding.  The A to B at 46% gives the students a good platform on which to build.

At GCSE 76% of students achieved a good pass in English and mathematics and 70% of students gained 5 A* to C passes including English and mathematics.  24% of all entries were graded A or A* or 7, 8 or 9 and 54% were graded A* to B or 6, 7, 8, or 9.  In mathematics, 79% of students achieved grades 4 to 9 and 58% 5 to 9 and in English 84% achieved grades 4 to 9 and 74% 5 to 9.

2014 - Haydon maintains its excellent standards at GCSE

Haydon is delighted to have maintained its excellent standards at GCSE in 2014, despite the “sharp fall” in English results nationally.

In the most demanding of all measures – 5 A* to C grades including English and Mathematics – Haydon’s 71% was well above the National average.

Looking at students who achieved 5 A* to C grades in any subjects, the figure was an excellent 87%.

We were also delighted with a significant increase at Haydon in GCSE mathematics passes at A* to C.

Congratulations to all of the students on their achievements.
